“This house sits in the middle of a hayfield, set 500’ or so back from the road. Very quiet, and a secure place to let the dogs play. The house itself is spacious and comfortable, and well-equipped, including heat-pump a/c and an excellent washer/dryer in the basement.
The Mabou area is always a treat: grocery, gas station and the Red Shoe Pub (very nice restaurant and music venue) all 5 minutes away. Mabou Mines sandy beach 10 minutes away.
Scotty (host) is very responsive and helpful.

“This off grid oasis was truly amazing! I command the host for their incredible thoughtfulness in prepping everything to make this outdoor retreat as equipped as possible. “This property was exactly what we were looking for. Stunning views and far away from the hustle of city life.
The house was quaint and enough room for seven of us. There is no central air conditioning, just a heat pump on the first floor but opening the windows to the ocean air as Todd suggested was more than sufficient to cool the rooms down in the night.
Todd, the owner, was great and always answered our questions quickly.
I would recommend staying here if you want to get away from the……
