Frat House Central
This is the worst experience I've had with any kind of short term rental before. These photos must be the original when they first opened, since it does NOT look like that any longer. We were immediately hit with the smell of marijuana and smoke (we opened the windows to air it out for three nights and it still smelt). There were smoke detectors missing in the bedrooms. The floors were peeling up and sticky. The bathroom had mold in it. The list goes on and on. At one point, we came home to an open gate and open patio door and the host didn't respond to us then either. I'm most disappointed by the customer service from VRBO and the host. Neither were helpful. They both would pass us along stating that they had to talk to a the host or had to contact the owner (apparently David doesn't own the house and VRBO didn't seem to care about this). The host was unconcerned. After some research on the host, many of his properties have VERY poor reviews. And he owns a lot of them in the area. The redeeming quality was that the hot tub was cleaned, but the shower was disgusting, so you had to mentally prepare for that after the hot tub. Just don't do it. If you can afford a different place - skip this entirely.
