I felt very unsafe, tried to park and homeless everywhere, bad neighborhood amd most of the area was boarded up, i didnt evem want to check in, i drove past amd left

The parking situation is horrible. The first night, I parked in the St. Vincent parking garage. I felt safe in the parking garage, but was scared as soon as I walked out on the street and had to find the hotel. The second night, I was later and the St. Vincent lot was closed. Used the parking garage across the street from the hotel. That parking garage felt very scary and was filthy. So many homeless and sketchy people around the hotel. Area outside hotel was disgusting. Gross messes and garbage on the sidewalk. Open drug use. The room set up was very cool, but there was a stong scented air freshener plugged into the wall. I unplugged the air freshener and discovered that it was covering a urine smell. There was no housekeeping service. No fresh towels. It took about 10 minutes to get warm water to come out of the shower. The shower pipes let out horrible screeches and moans during my entire shower. Some people live in the building and that created a different feel. For the amount of money that I paid for the room, I would expect better.

I would not recommend The Haas Hotel to anyone and will definitely not be returning. The location is extremely unsafe — the street is full of homeless individuals, and during our stay, we witnessed several fights, including one right outside the hotel entrance. The area is dirty, and walking there at night feels very unsafe. You’d think that given such a poor location, the hotel would at least try to make up for it with good service — but unfortunately, that’s not the case. Despite the listing claiming daily housekeeping, we never received it. We booked for five people and were only given two towels. The kitchen is also poorly equipped. The two pans provided were in terrible condition and basically unusable for cooking. Another major issue is parking. The hotel doesn’t have its own parking, and while there’s a lot right across the street, it charges $15 every time you enter. The rate resets at 6 a.m., so just coming and going once in the day means you’re paying a minimum of $30 daily — and possibly $60 if you go out twice. That makes it extremely limiting. Plus, the parking lot itself is dirty and reeks of urine. To make things worse, you might find yourself waking up in the middle of the night to the sound of street fights or police sirens. This hotel is a hard no. While it may seem centrally located, it’s far better to stay somewhere safe, well-equipped, and with more reason

The reception team were excellent and willing to help. The location of the property was also highly desirable, with multistorey car parks adjacent to the property. However, the unit I booked had a very strong mouldy smell to it and we even saw white dusty / powdery stuff on the bedsheets, necessiating an immediate request to change the sheets. The one of sofa's cover was coming off in certain areas, whilst the other is due an urgent change as the cushion is flat in the middle and we virtually sat on the wooden frame. The bathroom has no ventilation.,neither were the windows in the flat. In summary, the flat needs Urgent attention!! Sad I am unable to upload pictures with this review.

Too noisy/loud and it's not clean around the hotel. If you're traveling with small kids, I wouldn't recommend. Overall it's a nice place to stay. I like the style of the duplex, with kitchen, it gives you that apartment look/feel. I would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful wonderful wonderful hotel! We loved our room! It was spacious, and clean. My kids had their own sleeping space. It was very comfortable. My only negative was the location. Not knowing much about LA, didn't fancy the dirty streets and flies everywhere.

The hotel was great. The restaurant Flamebachi had great food. Just be careful of some of the sketchy characters in and around the neighborhood. We saw a show at the Belasco and it was very convenient. The room was great. Spacious clean, comfortable and modern. The woman at the front desk was Swedish and quite friendly. Everyone there was great.

The hotel itself was safe and clean, however the neighborhood surrounding it does have quite a few homeless people around and is dirty. If you walk up one block it gets better and surprisingly a lot of good restaurants are nearby. Public transit was better than we expected.
