The house is surrounded by plantations, cornfields and endless forests with mainly chestnut trees. This image determines the magnificent view that you have from your garden. Indoors there is a cosy fireplace and a separate parlour kitchen.
The holiday home is situated close to the medieval bastide town of Villefranche-du-Périgord, a marvelous place to shop. It has a beautiful market square with arcades and an age-old covered market hall. There are various swimming lakes in the area, such as at Prats-du-Périgord (10 km), at Frayssinet (12 km) and at Cazals (16 km). A definite sight to see is the splendid bastide city of Monpazier (19 km) where you will find a grand market place.
This area is full of beautiful medieval towns. Monpazier is one of them, but Belvès (23 km), Villeréal (33 km) and Monflanquin (35 km) really stand out as well. A little further away lie the absolute tourist attractions, such as Cahors (45km) and the prehistoric caves of Les Eyzies-de-Tayac (43 km). This city is also home to two very important museums with archaeological finds.
