“Very nice place to stay. The vicinity next to the busy road, while a little unsettling at first, was NO problem at all. Convenient to museums and restaurants with easy walks. Something I comment with 90% of vacation rentals…..Kleenex??!! Why can’t a box of tissue be thought of by property managers? Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Widow Douglas’ .”

The neighborhood was quiet, and the easy, scenic 10-minute walk to downtown made it convenient to enjoy coffee shops, shopping, and reading by the riverfront. Since I stayed several nights and did some cooking, the only thing I found myself wishing for was an extra trash bag—otherwise, everything was perfect.”

“Stayed here a total of 10 nights (2 reservations) while our daughter was at Hannibal Regional Hospital recovering from complications of a surgery. We rented the upstairs unit first, (Parlor on Paris) also 2 reservations, but switched to Huck's Hideaway when we realized we would be in town several weeks. Since we were taking shifts & staying with her around the clock, it was the perfect place to relax, refuel & rest. Kitchen was very functional with a great gas stove & full size appliances.……
