“The photos and description are completely misleading. Photos are several years old from a realtor's listing in 2022 and apparently no upkeep has taken place since then. A few rooms were tolerably clean but there is exposed rat poison beside pots and pans, clutter and debris, half used food in the fridge and cupboards, etc., etc. We've filed a 9 page complaint with VRBO including lots of pictures asking for a refund. ”

We had originally planned more day trips but decided to limit them so we could spend more time at the house, just enjoying the water, seeing many birds, deer (right in the back yard), and yes, finally seeing some dolphins! All in all a wonderful week!”

“My wife and I have been coming to Hyde County for years to hunt and fish, this cottage suitet us just fine. Perfect location and an added bonus having fresh oysters just across the road. Quiet and well appointed and cozy enough for 5 guests. Owner is quick to answer if there are problems and very nice. We will be back next year, God willing.”
