Peaceful Private Relaxing

The property could not have been any nicer. Wooded and secluded with deer, turkey and other critters playing around in the woods. We LOVED the cabin and all of it's amenities but we mostly enjoyed the private, relaxing peace and quiet ! We are from Ohio so the Cicadas are quite noisy when you are outside. We will absolutely stay again. Thank you to the owners for sharing your little slice of heaven with us!

Pleasantly surprised

We were amazed at how nice and clean the cabin was. Very cozy yet roomy. We lacked for nothing.. We did not get a chance to meet the owners, but just over the phone/text, they were wonderful. Easy access to areas we visited. We will definitely consider this cabin again if we are ever visiting the area again.

Enjoyable stay

A major road to the property was out and so it made travel to and from a little more challenging. Otherwise, our experience was great! We were notified about the road being out prior to our trip but didnt realize the convenience of it. Cabin and its location was beautiful!

Relaxing Family Vacation

We greatly enjoyed our relaxing family vacation at this cabin near Pentwater. The cabin had everything our family (including 2 kids under 10) needed, and was in a great location for trips into Pentwater, Hart, Silver Lake, and Ludington. More than anything our family was looking for an opportunity to unplug and reconnect for a week and this cabin fit the bill perfectly. We enjoyed the opportunity to visit local beaches, explore sand dunes, walk in the woods, and relax in the cabin. The hosts were responsive to any questions, both before and during our stay. We highly recommend this property and will hopefully have the chance to visit again in the future.

Extreamly nice cabin

Cabin was very clean and had everything you could need from bedding and towels to pots and pans. The area is very quiet and peaceful. All the beds were very comfortable. Will defenetly book again next year! Cabin more than exceded our expectations.

Great retreat in the woods

This house was perfect for my family of 4. We had plenty of room and were all comfortable. Bring your own water if you are not used to well water, the owners do comment that it is safe to drink but you will likely not be used to the taste. It is a very quiet spot in the woods close with lots of great things to do in a very short drive.

Great cabin

The cabin was very clean and set up well for our stay. The property is also very nice with plenty of privacy to hang out by the camp fire or outdoor games without worrying about neighbors. We would recommend it.

Don’t reconsider! Book it!

Property is peaceful and serene! Obvious attention to detail is present throughout the cabin and exterior as well! Owners are incredible to work with, promptly returning contact. Nearby to many activities. We came up to ride on the dunes and very much appreciated being able to park the truck and trailer where we were able to keep a close eye on it. We will be back next year!

Lovely, well-equipped, very clean cabin in woods

This cabin exceeded our expectations. It was exceptionally well-equipped and we loved the location - felt secluded in the woods, but only 10 min max to Pentwater (which had my favorite beach of several we visited). Lots of turkeys and loads of deer. Bathrooms: both very clean, plenty of towels. Large walk-in shower. Hair dryer in drawer. Bedroom on main floor: Comfortable mattress (I am picky) and nice bedding. Even a white noise machine beside the bed! Bedroom area in loft: kids loved this safe loft. Both regular bed and futon comfortable with nice bedding. Kitchen: very well equipped, clean, lots of spices, condiments, plenty of dishes. Only missing a larger (12inch) skillet or griddle for those of us making pancakes. Even had a slow cooker! May have to dig around to find somethings, but it is probably there! Keurig AND coffee maker! Oven not as old as it looks in the photos (but no thermostat). Living area: comfortable and clean. Great tv with satellite - easy enough to figure out. Laundry: in basement - loved that there is laundry when you are traveling with two kids! Outside: great picnic table under pergola (not shown in photos). Fire ring was prepared for us with wood and kindling, which was so thoughtful. Also - there was a clean, newer, gas grill with tools - not listed in amenities, so I would check to make sure it is always available. Plenty of distance from neighbors and room to run around. There are no board games (there are cards and a cribbage set, I believe), so if you are worried about rainy days, I would consider bringing some along. The reviews of the water are not overstating the situation. It is well water and, while safe, smells and tastes very strongly of iron. Most people not used to well water would find it unpalatable/undrinkable. We just brought a couple multi-gallon water jugs with us (for drinking and making coffee) and did just fine. Overall: Highly recommend this cabin. After spending time in Ludington as well, we are very happy with our choice to stay closer to Pentwater.

Excellent location and cabin! Well appointed and easy to live in for our week long stay.

Our family of four all had an amazing time. The kids enjoyed having a loft to themselves, and the kitchen was great for family meals.

Quiet, secluded relaxation!

Peaceful & Quiet

This house was fantastic! No neighbors and lots of room to move around. The kitchen had everything you need to cook your meals. The house is just a few miles away from Pentwater and the Brown Bear with the best roast beef sandwich ever. It was nice to sit on the porch and enjoy the peace & quiet. The living space was beautiful and it was nice to have that half bathroom up in the loft. We are coming again next year!

My boys and I had a wonderful time at the cabin! They have always wanted to stay in a log cabin so this was a special memory for them! We will be back again next summer! Loved our front porch mornings, cozy atmosphere and full accommodations!

In nature

What a wonderful way to be in the woods surrounded by nature, yet still be close to civilization. We saw deer and squirrels out the window and many turkeys while coming and going. Very cozy cabin, beautifully and comfortably furnished, and it had everything we needed.

Beautiful!!!

The cabin was extremely clean and beat our expectations. It was nice and private. You see a lot of deer driving to the property. Enjoyed walking down the dirt road. We hope to be back.
