Custom built in 2020 to reflect an outdoor lifestyle.

Fishing, hunting, hiking, paddling, lakes, rivers and streams nearby. Golf and skiing. Arcadia Bluffs golf courses are only 12 miles and a number of others close. Crystal Mountain skiing is just 9 miles.
Wander the shore of Lake Michigan. Hike the Manistee River Trail, rated in the top 10 hikes is the USA.
World class fly fishing in area streams. Many great adventures and destinations close at hand.

Mother’s Day Getaway

A great weekend with the family! A lovely time with great hosts! Everything thing we needed for a relaxing weekend. The fire pit was awesome. The house was immaculate and cozy! We will be back to stay again!

Perfect for a Peaceful Getaway

My wife and I went to celebrate our anniversary. We weren’t able to enjoy the exterior with the heavy snow, but the inside was super cozy. We were plenty warm. An easy distance from Crystal Mountain Resort, and not too far from other towns if you are looking for restaurants, gas, groceries, etc. The owners were also super responsive. My wife and I would definitely stay here again.

Comfy, cozy getaway

The Shed surpassed all my expectations! It was so cute and clean and just what I was hoping for and more. The location was very peaceful and quiet. The way it’s set back in the pines and all the little details made it by far one of the best places we’ve stayed. Kate was amazing and definitely hope to get back there soon!

Cozy cabin in a beautiful setting

Super clean cozy cabin surrounded by pine trees. The cabin is well-furmished with artistic touches, such as glass bottle windows that let in light. Firewood was provided for the fire ring outside. The pond is across the road and there is a large wooden swing to enjoy the view.

Hosts very friendly. This cabin is so unique. Needed a quiet peaceful get-away and this filled the bill. We were impressed by the attention given to providing anything anyone would need. Additionally, a really really clean property. Would recommend it to anyone.

Small but MIGHTY!!

This was hands down the cutest cabin we ever rented! Every detail has been thought about, super clean and again so nice. We met Kate during our stay and had a nice chat with her and she filled us in the history of the cabin. We had a great time and would definitely return.

“The Shed” is a cute little place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind. The place was so clean and well kept. Kate was so nice and friendly and made the stay feel so comfortable. You can see the care Kate and Ray took to make the shed a perfect getaway! Would definitely recommend this place for someone to visit!

Perfect getaway

The cabin was easy to find located down a dirt road tucked away into a quiet wooded area. It was absolutely perfect. This was by far the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in, plenty of room for our family of three, great outdoor area with fire pit. Highly recommend.

Great weekend stay at the Shed!

The Shed is a little gem in northern Michigan with close and easy access to Crystal Mountain, Arcadia Bluffs, and Sleeping Bear Dunes, among others. Off the beaten path but a quick drive to Bear Lake for groceries and other essentials. Perfectly cozy for my wife and me, but also would be good for a family with 1-2 kids or even two couples. Nicely decorated, very clean, a well-stocked kitchen and gas grill for cooking, and the owners are very responsive and super nice. Kate stopped by to great us shortly after we arrived to make sure we knew to reach out if we needed anything. Definitely will return for a future trip!

Cure "shed" tucked in the pines. Very clean, wonderfully stocked and tastefully decorated. Cozy but has all the comforts of home. Kate was friendly and caring! Recommended for couples , not necessarily families due to size. Clise to Bear Lake for groceries, gas restaurants. Mot far from Manistee and Traverse City for tons of activities

Great Property

The “Shed” was an ideal place for the three of us to stay. It was in a perfect location for us to go to Crystal Mountain for skiing and out to a quick pizza dinner at Rosie’s Place. Great communication with the owners. It’s little touches like having fresh towels each day that made it a fun place to stay. Everything was very nice. The shower is a little tight but manageable.
