“I hate leaving negative info but for the benefit of future travelers, I have to be honest about a few items with this property: 1. It was absolutely buzzing with flies inside. There was spray and a fly swatter inside which indicates this must be a known issue to the property manager. It made our short stay very uncomfortable. 2. This is not a hot tub, it is a swedish bath. We had a car so we didn’t use the bus system too much but there is a stop literally right outside the building that will take you all over the city. “This place is clean, convenient to the highway and attractions in nearby Bern, and has excellent sunset views (we were there in May). Parking is easy and there is a bus stop directly across the street. We even found an outstanding Italian restaurant for dinner and a nice bakery for breakfast within walking distance.Conversely, the beds are just ok. A little soft and low for our tastes and the AC could not be adjusted. We found it warm at night.”

“The home was amazing. We were met at check in and given a tour of the grounds and the house along with the history of the chateau, the frescos, furniture, and books. We were surprised by the beautiful welcome gift of local cheeses, yogurts, jellies, and wine all of which were enjoyed during our stay. "Neuchatel City Hotel certainly is improving. It can be better. 1. Although there is a 3-steps stairs at the lobby, having a ramp will certainly help. 2. Housekeeping can be further improved. I believed some housekeepers are very serious in their task some are just getting by. For two days, no refill for my coffees capsules. 3. I find that Hotel.com choices of rooms in Neuchatel City are very limited. More can be done in between to have availability for bookings. Especially the double large rooms with fridge. 4. Thanks to the team for their efforts to ensure guests comforts. Thanks for the fan. "
