“We loved our stay at the wonderful cottage directly by the sea. We found it perfect at any weather. If it's sunny, enjoy the gorgeous view from the garden with the patio and if it's cold and rainy, huddle up in the livigroom by by the fire. It's wonderful to wake up, open the (really thick) curtains and see the ocean! Claire is the perfect host. Always available via chat if there's a question and lightning-fast with her replies. Johnshaven is a short dog-walk away with its pretty small harbour……

“We had a great long weekend in Oct/Nov. The village is fantastic with a traditional butcher, farm shop and amazing cafe, all on a lovely high street. A wonderful park across the road which the dog loved. Lots of amazing walks nearby. The flat was cosy and there were some lovely treats on arrival. Great for dog owners too. ”

“Lovely, spacious and clean property right on the sea front. Picture windows in the lounge were perfect for watching the ever changing sea scape. Lovely towns and villages nearby for sightseeing. Local pub great and fish and chips from the chip shop/restaurant very tasty.”

“Amazing cliff top sea views gorgeous empty beach. Quirky accommodation with all you need for a short stay. Host was a very friendly and helpful guy. We went by train but a car would be beneficial as although not far from the village it's a little remote with unlit dirt tracks probably ok in summer but not recommended coming home from the village pub in the dark. The beach was down a step path but was amazing vast and empty. Wouldn't recommend if you have mobility problems the space in the……

“We stayed here for my sisters 50th and loved every minute of it. The view from the garden was out of this world, it made the break. The cottage was cosy and whilst some of the decor wasn’t perfect the description was accurate and as described. We will be back, the view was outstanding and lovely wee pubs in walking distance too. X”

Friends came too who never visited before and they were over the moon with the house and surrounding areas . The Beach BoatHouse made the trip just that little bit more special. Highly recommended.”
