A very well equipped hotel with nice restaurants and bar, and also a swimming pool. Somehow it’s quite difficult to find some nice restaurants in Luxor though it’s a touristique spot, so I’m happy that I can find some good food here. There’s live music every night in the courtyard, surprisingly. The staff are friendly too.

Very helpful staff and still good of location. The food provided in the hotel is good and there are few options. There are shows held every night in the hotel free of charge. It is advised to rent a taxi to travel to all temples and sightseeing spots as they are spread far apart in Luxor. Overall, the stay in the hotel was very pleasant.

WOW....just wow for this place. We arrived late at 2:00 AM and we told the manager on duty that we had an early tour the next morning at 5:30 am. When we arrived at the front desk, he had two breakfast kits to go prepared for us. Incredible service. The room was spectacular and the view was just as good. The beautiful Miranda was close to her birthday so she got special treatment from all the staff. The Thai restaurant was delicious and they reserved a special outdoor table for us. The hotel itself is clean and well-maintained, and the view of the sunset from the room was truly stunning — definitely one of the highlights of the stay. However, there were a few drawbacks. Bathrobes were not provided in the room and had to be requested separately, which was a bit inconvenient. Additionally, the toiletries such as shampoo, body soap, and hand soap were all in fixed dispensers, which made them somewhat difficult to use comfortably. On the positive side, the hotel offers three different restaurants, which adds variety. We dined at the Italian restaurant, and both the carbonara and the margherita pizza were delicious and satisfying. Staff interactions from check-in to check-out were generally smooth and pleasant, contributing to an overall enjoyable experience. Although we only stayed for one night, which felt too short, we would definitely love to return for a longer stay next time.

The hotel was well situated, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. However, one downside was the experience with the shops in the hotel-some of the shop workers were quite aggressive in trying to sell their products, which made us uncomfortable at times and wanted to avoid using the facilities. A little more space to browse freely would have made the experience much better.

We stayed 3 nights. This is a rather old hotel but it’s charming, comfortable, and a whole world of difference when you step in from the slump environment outside. Pros: - There is a coffee/gelato bar, Lebanese restaurant, Thai restaurant, Italian restaurant, Nubian restaurant, bar serving the pool. We loved the Lebanese restaurant and had many meals there. - Beautiful facade. - Room is spacious and bed comfortable, the bathroom is a bit aged but kept clean. Though a couple more hooks to hang clothes will be great. - Beautiful pool facing the Valley of the kings and Nile. - Excellent service from the hotel. - Just opposite the hotel there are a couple of minimarts to get soft drinks and tidbits. Some of them offer unofficial money exchange. - There is an ATM within the hotel basement if you need to draw some money. - Not much hassling from vendors within the hotel compared to the world outside the hotel. Cons: - Outside of the hotel, it’s dark and sad. It’s less than 10 minutes ride to the Central Area where the harbour is but getting there means you either walk on narrow dusty pathways alongside horse carriages and cars or try to hail a taxi or horse carriage that try to rip you off every way possible.

I stayed for 3 nights, I booked a King city view room, at check-in I was told I was upgraded to a garden view room. Upon getting in the room I was greeted with two double beds. Not having sleep in 24hours reduced my willingness to call and complain. The hotel it’s self is very clean but very out dated. It really should undergo remodeling, especially if it plans to compete with new luxury hotels that are coming in the area. Staff are all kind and helpful. The ones motivated by tips stick out but none make you uncomfortable.

I haven’t left many reviews but I realized that I look at people’s reviews when I book a room. This is Great hotel. The staff are amazing. My room had 2 bathrooms, the first time I’ve seen that. I don’t know what else to say. Book your room here!! I took videos and will post them on instagram. If you’re reading this post. Look no farther. Book it you won’t be disappointed. I highly recommend this property. We were originally booked at an alternative property in Cairo, but we quickly left and looked for an alternative. The Steigenberger was incredible. Honestly, it saved our trip and the second we walked into our room, we breathed a sigh of relief. This property was clean, modern, and just fantastic. Grateful they had last-minute availability and that we could stay there.
