“I rarely do reviews, and when I do so it's because of either the absurdity or superiority of the experience. This experience was 100% the latter. This was our 1st time trying out a rental/airbnb type of stay. So, obviously we hoped for the best but mentally prepared ourselves for the mediocre. Mediocre this was NOT! IT WAS FABULOUS IN EVERY WAY. We're from the country so coming in contact with nature is nothing new for us. Nor is a county-cared for gravel road and all that entails. It was so……

“The cabin and view were absolutely amazing! Beautifully designed, thoughtfully decorated, and spotlessly clean. We spent the day exploring Cane Creek and Dismals Canyon, then enjoyed a relaxing evening at the cabin. Grilled out with ease—there’s a grocery store just 3 miles away. Jennifer, the owner, was great with communication and made everything seamless. Peaceful, cozy, and everything we hoped for. We’d go back in a heartbeat!”

“The cabin was amazing; very clean with everything we needed for our brief stay. A great re-model by the owners. Close to the Sipsey Wilderness/Bankhead National Forest where we enjoyed hiking. We fished off the dock at the cabin and enjoyed the beautiful view of Smith Lake, one of our favorite places to be. Near Chef Troy's Talk of the Town restaurant, very good food and service. Just a suggestion for the owners-you may want to mention the driveway being very steep and rutted. We were in a 4x4……

“First off, Sarah was a phenomenal hostess. It’s great when you have any host that cares. She definitely wanted to ensure her guests were comfortable. Second, the house was nice a cozy. The master bed was very comfortable. Some window treatments in the two guest bedrooms would be great to ward off morning sun, but the kids didn’t mind. You’ll be with kayaking distance of Duncan Bridge but nestled in a nice little cover with plenty of water toys. Highly recommend for a convenient getaway!!”

“The house is nestled back in the wood for a perfect feeling of seclusion while still being conveniently located to amenities around. The cabin was very clean and organized and offered almost any amenity you could really need. The wrap around porch was a great spot for hanging out with friends and perfect place to slowly wake up on the swing in the morning time. Host was very nice and communication was amazing! Would 100% stay again. If you are looking at this property for your next trip don’t……
