Ww checked into the hotel and ten minutes later checked back out. The room especially the bathroom wasn’t clean and there was black mold throughout the room. My daughter is allergic and had an immediate reaction. The clerk gave us another room to stay in but it also had mold growing in the bathroom. The front desk clerk gave us a refund and booked us into another hotel at the same price. Patricia was very nice about the whole situation which I appreciated.

Like the new wood siding in the rooms. Bed was comfortable (the other bed was almost on the floor). The outside of the toilet was dirty, the shower curtain was moldy and almost fell on my head. The outdoor stairs need new carpet and the entire hotel needs power-washed. Old broken beach chairs need thrown out!!!

Clean room, nice balcony and great view, beach access great, beach needs some better up keep but good, outlets loose and wouldn’t hold chargers, tv good, WiFi decent, easy walk to ferry transit, ice machine broke down, water park not open even though not listed on website, hallways ok, outside trashes jammed full, nice outdoor fire pits except one over full, worse part was when I called because toilet was flushing right and sink not draining right I was told “what do you want me to do about it?”, she ultimately brought us a plunger but never looked up from her phone outside when giving it to my husband.

The room was beachfront and the view was beautiful. Every morning there was a beautiful sunrise! The ferry to Mackinac Island was a 4 minute walk which was very convenient so we didn’t have to drive and pay for parking. The room had been upgraded and was very nice and roomy. It was clean but it could use a deep clean. The hot water was a little tricky, a couple of times in the early morning (6:30) it wasn’t hot but wait awhile then it was hot. I tried calling the front desk to get more towels and didn’t get through to anyone but I did finally get more towels. When I checked in the staff was very friendly and when I stopped in to talk to them they were friendly and helpful. We stayed for 5 nights and we did enjoy our stay there. Overall for the price and the location I would stay again.

Unfortunately we didn’t have a good stay. The floor was dirty with sand and the bathroom didn’t have hand towels or a shower curtain. The l hotel was on the beach which gave a great view of the lake.

We were in our room for literally 10 minutes and encountered fleas. When contacting the staff, I was told I could leave, however, would still be charged. Another individual staying at the hotel had the same issue during our check-in, which the staff dismissed. I will fight any charge received as we left immediately. Rude staff and dirty hotel!

The bathrooms were old and developing mold on the floorboards and on the ceiling. Bathrooms did not have working vents. The rooms should have mats in the balcony on the bottom floor to collect sand from coming into the rooms.

The Management was great. Looking forward to possibly staying there in the future. They were able to answer all of my questions, assist with what was needed and always friendly. The room was one of the updated beachfront two queen beds room. It was spacious and had a great view. Access to the beach was amazing for the warmer hours of the day. Everything was within walking distance of the hotel so we didn't have to worry about parking downtown.

We found hair all over the bathroom and on the beds in the room. Toilet paper roll was empty. Room had a musty smell when we first arrived. Room has not been updated in a very long time. Bed felt like i was sleeping on a piece of plywood. The room was also never cleaned during our stay.

Nice property with a good view of the beach. Room was very nice and freshly remodeled. The only issues I had were my tv did not work at all. And the splash pad/ waterpark area was closed. Overall we had a nice stay at the property.

This was best and worst! Best was access to lake, Viewing fireworks on Sat. Pool, shuttle to docks and front office help for restaurants. Worst was ADA (Amer. Disability Act) total disreguard. When we arrived at 2:30 we asked if we could get an early check-in, but our room wasn't cleaned yet which was fine because check in isn't until 4. So in the mean time we parked and went to check out the water. The water was clean and the beach was nice. There were some broken chairs and towels laying around but there were also chairs that were fine. Some people had brought their own chairs from home. My son who is nine loved skipping stones, looking for rocks and chasing some seagulls while we waited til four o'clock to get to check in. At 4 we went to the front desk to check in. Our room still wasnt ready, so instead of getting pissed we just spent more time in the water(only up to our knees because we had on shorts.) At 4:40 we went back and our rooms were ready.

We had problems when checking in. And the hall to our room was filthy. The screen on our room's door was broken open. The ceiling to the bath leaked. We were reluctantly offered another room, but we canceled our reservation and moved next door to The Clarion, which was the best thing that happened.
