"The highlight of our stay was meeting local Boer war expert and historian Rob Milne, who is based at the museum on site. We spent an immensely enjoyable hour and a half chatting about history and the remarkable stories that took place in SA."

"What a gem. We had a quiet mid-week stay. But it’s a small space so I would think even weekends shouldn’t feel too busy. Food and service were outstanding. Some short hikes available on the property as well."

"Cabbage tree cottage at stone hill was clean and comfortable, king size bed and the kitchen was very well stocked with appliances. Thoughtful touches for the pets with a secure garden for them. A lovely quiet and peaceful place for a relaxing weekend away."
