Maggie Valley offers Cataloochee Ski Lodge, Wheels Through Time motorcycle museum, snow tubing, a variety of restaurants and pubs, and shopping. Visit the casino in Cherokee, or head to Asheville for the day. Enjoy long-range mountain vistas from the comfort of the full-length, ground-level deck while sipping your favorite beverage. Watch and listen to abundant bird life. It's not uncommon to catch a glimpse of elk or black bears that share the mountain with us. Hummingbirds flit from feeder to feeder, as do Golden finches, Nuthatches, Cardinals, Bluebirds and the Tufted Titmouse . You won't want to miss the spectacular sunsets on display nightly, or watch storms roll in through the valley. There is a lot to do if you choose, but it's also the perfect place to slow down and just breathe!
