“Great place to visit. We definitely could have stayed a few more days. Plenty of dog friendly activities. It would be a great place to stay at other times of the year as well We very much enjoyed Maggie’s baked treats and the Strawbale cottage holiday vibe. A bit warm because of a couple of very hot days so another fan or aircon would be great.”

“A beautiful place with welcoming, caring hosts. Truely amazing. Maggie greeted me on arrival, with supplies for great breakfast in the fridge and delicious home made bread. Sunday morning I was delighted with a freshly baked muffin. The cottage was spotless and very peaceful looking on to a beautifully kept parklike garden. I will come again.”

“This is definitely budget accommodation, the unit was not flash and the upkeep to our unit poor, washing machine didn't spin out (leaving clothes very wet) and the door jammed making it difficult to exit (lucky we didn't have to exit in a hurry. However, if these things don't both you then the location is amazing, and there is a good variety of facilities. The staff were very helpful with extending our booking a further night when we had to change plans late at night. My conclusion is the staff……

“We were a family group of adults wanting a place to stay with our dogs and a place to moor our boat for water skiiing. We had that - although it was a bit of a rocky trek to the pontoon, but the outcome was worth it for that tiny inconvenience. It was paradise sitting on the deck with the wildlife singing. A rustic house that was clean and spacious and great for the 8 of us. Be careful of the maps app sending you from Eildon to the property via a four wheel drive track.which was not pleasant……

“Excellent location with outstanding views and environment. Accommodation is excellent for what it offers, eg. quiet, private, comfortable. Would recommend at least a couple of nights stay. Come prepared for self catering as the town of Mansfield is at times very busy. It’s not 5 star, the cabin was clean and adequate in its offerings.”

“Plough Cottage was well equipped and there were plenty of warm blankets/doonas and electric blankets for the beds. The bunk bed room was large and big enough for four to share. The host was easy to communicate with and had really thought of everything you would need to have a pleasant stay. It was a short walk to the lake and a picturesque drive to and from Mansfield. The afternoon sun was lovely on the porch and overall it was a really relaxing time. Our Vodafone mobile service did not……

“Liz was extremely accommodating, quick to respond to our queries. The whole process from start to end was easy to follow.The house was as describe, it was roomy, clean, comfortable beds, had everything we needed, home away from home. Location amazing, secluded, quiet place, no hustle and bustle. If you like peace and quiet next to water, boating or fishing it is a perfect location. Recommendation to purchase your basic needs ie..milk, bread, any food needed when you drive through Mansfield save……
