What was good: You can’t beat the location - you can literally walk across the street to the airport. Pool area was nice (but loud because of a wedding), and the restaurant food was good.
What wasn’t so good: It’s time for a renovation here. The rooms are small and dark and a little depressing feeling (but they were clean). Also, a member of staff knocked on my door at 4 am asking me if I needed the shuttle. (I did have a flight that morning, but I had never asked for the shuttle). Obviously some kind of mixup, but it was a little scary as a solo female traveller being woken up in essentially the middle of the night like that. Rooms also aren’t very soundproof at all.
On my other night in Managua I stayed at the Doubletree Hilton; not as convenient of a location and slightly more expensive, but it was a fantastic hotel.
