This hotel was ok. When I checked in they said they couldn’t find my reservation, which is never a great way to start. (They eventually found it). Rooms were fine but the A/C unit in the room was full of mold which didn’t really make you want to turn it on and breathe the air in.
My biggest issue was with the nightly insecticide fumigation. A man walks around with a loud machine strapped to his back (like a leaf blower) and sprays insanely thick black clouds of insecticide smoke all over the grass and trees. I can’t even explain how thick and black and toxic these fumes were, I was choking and coughing and had a headache for hours. I cannot understand how anyone would think this was a good idea.
I asked them to call me a taxi in the evening and they said they couldn’t because there weren’t any?? Restaurant food was decent.
I would not return. For my other night in Managua I stayed at Hilton Doubletree (slightly further from the airport, slightly more expensive, but a fantastic hotel).
