It's close to town - but a little tricky to walk as there are not sidewalks on the side roads - but a super easy drive. We had a lovely stay and hope to be back. “We booked this place as a bed and breakfast. No breakfast. No staff on site. No information was provided at the hotel to help us find things in the area. We were not informed that this was a "self check in hotel" until after the cancellation date. Calling the Heritage office (off site) for assistance was useless as the staff could not answer our questions. The common areas were sparsely furnished and shabby. Area activities to check out; So Vt Arts Center, Hildene, and a little more of a drive Robert Frost Stone House in Bennington and King Arthur Flour (flagship stire) in Norwich.
