Harbor Village Update: The indoor pool, hot tub and fitness area are open and included with your stay. The outdoor pool and hot tub are open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Guests are required to review and adhere to the facility rules posted on-site.

Second Floor Condo with Amazing Views: Property ID # 370693 - 1 Bedroom, 1.5 Bathrooms, Sleeps 4. Sleeping Arrangements: Upstairs Bedroom – King and separate twin day bed; Main level twin pull out. Half bath is on the main floor and full bath with tub/shower combo is off the bedroom upstairs.

What a view! Rare Harbor Village condo with amazing Lake Michigan views. Ideal location next to the indoor and outdoor pools, but only a short distance from sandy Lake Michigan beachfront. Lots of fantastic updates, you’ll fall in love the minute you walk through the door!

The rental is pet-friendly! Feel free to bring your furry friend. We simply ask that you include your pet when booking. There is an additional $15/night pet fee which will be added to the stay.

AMENITIES INCLUDE: Central air, gas fireplace, outdoor deck, hair dryer, DVD play with movies available. WIFI and cable TV included.

The kitchen is fully stocked for everyday meal prep. Dishes, pots and pans, silverware, glass, etc. and a drip coffee maker is available for guest use. Also included: bed linens, bath towels, basic cleaning supplies, iron/ironing board, fans, and soaps (not personal soaps), and a starter set of paper products.

LOCATION: Harbor Village is on the shores of Lake Michigan's sugar sandy beaches with beautifully landscaped grounds, a deep-water marina with slips for rent, community fishing dock, indoor and outdoor pool and spa, fitness center, and a gated playground for the children to enjoy. Plus, it's just minutes to historic downtown Manistee, The Riverwalk, world-class golf and fishing, public parks and nature trails. The ideal place for family vacations, weekend getaways or the avid boater or fisherman!

Check in time is after 4:00PM and check out time is before 10:00AM. Please note that we are not able to accommodate early arrivals or late departures from May – September. Any request for additional time will depend on availability of the rental and an additional fee may be added to the stay.

ARRIVAL: There is no formal check-in procedure. Arrival details are sent prior to your check-in date and will include the exact location of the property, parking and entry information. Guests will have a private, secure entrance and the rental is not shared by owners or other guests.

DEPARTURE: We do have a very short checklist we ask renters follow upon departure. It includes making sure the property is left tidy, furniture is in the same place you found it, everything is closed, locked and turned off, and the thermostat is set properly. These items will only take a couple of minutes but help staff immensely.

Please know that all rental policies and house rules are strictly enforced. This includes occupancy limits, age requirements, the ‘no parties’ and ‘no smoking’ clauses or any other rule posted online or within the rental. These are often defined by local ordinances, Homeowner’s Associations or other legal requirements and can result in fines or eviction if violated. We do not provide additional refunds for cancellations, late arrivals or early departures except as required in the posted cancellation policy.

For safety reasons, there may be external security cameras in use. Please contact us if there are any questions or concerns.

Relaxing getaway

This vacation was exactly what we were looking for, which was a break from the hustle and bustle. We loved the walks to the beach and around the man made lake. We swam in the pool almost every day. The condo had everything we needed and the view was beautiful. We also really liked the town of Manistee.

For 39 years in October we have stayed in Manistee or Onekama to celebrate our anniversary. Never get tired of it. Friendly communities, convenient to TC, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Leland, Suttons Bay and sou h more. Great escape.

Our June Manistee MI Getaway

We have stayed at Harbor Village condos many times and this unit was one of the two best condos that we stayed in. We had great views of Lake Michigan and the man made lake including the many deer that we saw. This unit is also only a short walk to the beaches, marina, the pools and spa. We were also only a short drive to the downtown area that has many restaurants and a river walk. We were able to bring our little Pomeranian along with us too because they allow pets. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We shall return. Thank you with a special shout out to Jessica of Boardwalk Vacation rentals for all of her help.

Great location, but needs some TLC

Great location, close walk to the beach. Arrived after dark and it was very difficult to find the building; there was very little lighting on the property and the building was not well marked. The bedding and towels had stains and several of the plumbing and electrical fixtures did not work properly. The condo has a ton of potential….great space, great location, and loved the fireplace, but for the cost, it needs some updating.

This place was great for a weekend getaway with my husband. The views were great, the distance to restaurants and downtown was perfect, the casino is nearby and the pool/hot tub are only a few steps away.

Great Location - Wonderful Stay

We rented the property for two nights to see the leaves change. The property was well decorated and up to date but a couple of cleanliness items stood out. The towels had stains on them and the utensil drawer was a mess with no organizer for the utensils. Other than that I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful view, but

It's been a very long time since we rented anything for a get away. We have been RV'ing for many years. This property has alot going for it. The view is wonderful and peaceful. The community itself is great for walking, the grounds are lovely. The indoor pool facility is fantastic. We really enjoyed that. The location is very close to town, which was a definite plus. We knew in advance this was a 2nd story unit, but was not aware the parking was not convenient when loading and unloading vehicle. Kitchen is very small (one drawer for flatware which is just thrown in the drawer without any dividers). This led me to wash everything before we used it. The can opener provided did not work. (Bought new one and left it for next guest). Also, no corkscrew provided. Sheet pan needs replaced. Don't plan on doing alot of cooking in this unit. No dish rag provided for wiping counters etc. The balcony was a great place to have coffee or just sit and relax and enjoy the view, but the deck, rails, walls of condo needed cleaned desparately. Bedroom was nice size and well appointed. Bathrooms were also nice. Half bath on first floor convenient. Again, it's been a long time since we rented vacation home so m y expectations might be to high. I'm sure these units get alot of us with the amount of guests they get. Lastly, the 4pm check in time seems late. I know the rates are "nightly". All and all , we had a nice time in the Manistee area.

Scenic view

My favorites from my stay—balcony, lake view, cozy fireplace, and location. Close to beach and town. I enjoyed running to the downtown and along the river walk. Many quaint shops. Highly recommend!!

Nice Stay

The property was as advertised and the views were terrific. It was the perfect size space for us. We did not find that the unit was difficult to locate as others had mentioned. The unit had pretty much all the essentials you would want. We stayed with our short haired pointer and were grateful we could bring her. I would suggest a more thorough cleaning of the floors/rugs in between guest visits. Our socks collected alot of dog hair that was not our own dogs hair. Despite that I would stay again!

Tons of steps which are busted outside the unit as well as some odd steps inside. Not well equipped in the kitchen as there were few utensils and only a few silverware. It's definitely an older unit and worn a bit but cozy and comfy for two people. While there's a nice view of water, it's the man made lake. Windows were dirty so view not as spectacular. Nothing at all to eat as there's a handful of places. And yet, Somehow it turned out to be a much needed nice break. Also, no cleaning supplies at all and walls are super thin so bring ear plugs

Lovely property with a great view

Our family of 4 + dog couldn't have enjoyed our stay more! The condo is spacious yet very cozy, and is nicely updated. We had everything that we needed. The view of the lake was amazing! Management was very prompt with replies to my questions. We look forward to staying here again!

Fun in the Sun

We had a blast! Great location. Walking to the beach and pool was easy. Easy drive into town for meals. The unit was clean and perfect for our small family. We really hope to come back again next year.

Lovely View Close to Beach

This was property is beautiful! My (non-shedding) dog and I loved the view and the proximity to the beach. We saw several deer each night. Sunsets over Lake Michigan are always stunning. The wifi/cable wasn't working, but that was immediately addressed by the property manager & owner and corrected by the ISP. That shouldn't be an issue in the future. I will say it was challenging to find the condo as the number doesn't face the street. This isn't affecting my rating, just making others aware to look for the number facing the "pond." The condo was clean, well-kept, and comfortable. The property manager was available, responsive, and courteous. Thank you for a wonderful stay! I'll definitely be back!!!

Great vacation rental

We had a wonderful long weekend in Manistee. This was the perfect vacation rental for us. We enjoyed having a central location near downtown, beautiful views, and were happy we got to bring our dog as well. Such an amazing weekend.

Great Mid-Winter Break

Condo was warm and cozy with awesome view of Lake Michigan. Lots of deer to watch in the morning and evening. Enjoyed use of the pool and fitness center. Fireplace was great to come “home” to after hiking along the Manistee River to the “Mini Mac” which was highlighted on your “things to do” list. Comfy bed and we so appreciate being able to bring our dog.

We really enjoyed our stay and it allowed us to spend a nice time away with just the three of us.

We really enjoyed our stay and it allowed us to spend a nice time away with just the three of us (Christine, me, and Willow). It also allowed us to imagine what it might be nice if we lived in a condo instead of the house we have. On the whole, condo living might be pretty good, but both Christine and I would need a two-bedroom, one-floor unit. Getting too old to go up and down stairs and in the one-bedroom we had, there was no space for a washer and dryer. As for the rental aspect, there were a few things that were less than ideal: 1- Very difficult to find the unit once on the property. Fortunately an employee saw we were lost and directed us to the right unit. 2- Door lock very hard to open. The door was a push-button electric lock and you had to hold the door closed tight or the deadbolt wouldn't slide. 3- No bottom bed sheet. We used the top sheet to cover the mattress and just used blanket for covers. 4- Wash cloth in upstairs bathroom was stained. 5- Blinds in living room didn't work and were very dirty. One of the blinds in dining room also didn't work. 6- Sand on the living room floor. Now, that might not be such a big deal, considering we were only about 1/4 mile from Lake Michigan and tight across the street from Man Made Lake, which had a sandy path down to the shore, but every guest pays a $130 cleaning fee as part of the rental. One would think that $130 would get you a clean floor. 7- A lot of dust in the cold air return in the living room. 8- The information sheet on counter stated pets not allowed, even though we stated we had a pet when we booked. On-site manager said the info sheet needed updating. How much effort would that take? 9- There was a dishwasher but almost no dishwasher soap. Fortunately, we made it work. 10- No dish cloths or towels. 11- Onsuite toilet seat is loose. Now, perhaps many people might not care too much about that, but it's a pet peeve of mine when I rent a place - be it cottage, condo or hotel. It takes all of five minutes to ensure the bolt is tight and it would be easy for that $130 cleaning service to tell the management or just fix it themselves. This sounds like I'm grousing and maybe I am, but we both enjoyed staying there and might again at some point.
