“We had a great stay, I would recommend this place to anyone that is willing to climb a ladder to a loft to sleep. That being said the smaller cabins chairs in the living room area aren’t the most comfortable. The fire wood will cost you 20 if you wish to have a fire maybe bring your own. I also don’t feel that I should have to strip the bed or take the trash out if I am paying a cleaning fee. The bed is also not the most comfortable in the world. We did have a great time though. Just leaving……

“We were welcomed with pastries and beautifull flowers into this comfortable home in Galrsburg. We were close to the Railroad Museum, thrift shops, and Historic Downtown District. The host was most accomadating. We recommend the experience.”

“The staff was very nice, but we where unexpectedly charged $20 cash for an extra person without prior knowledge, our reservation guaranteed the continental breakfast on the receipt, but upon check in we where told no and we would have to pay extra as well. We were also put in a separate building all together where the hallways where not air conditioned and lack of extra pillows and other amenities where lacking. A bit disappointing.”

“We are in our 70s so the loft was a steep ladder which seemed slippery. We’d reserve a 2-bed in the future for the convenience of the main floor bedroom. Dishes and linens were nice quality. It rained the whole time we were there, but the large windows allowed us to take in the setting. Shades really kept out the sun, and it was nice there was a shade for every window! It was fun and unique for a rental to have a wood fireplace! The 5-point door was tricky to lock. Well maintained paths.……

“The property is beautiful! My kids loved kayaking every day and used the amazing rope swing several times a day. Very close to the Oak Run beach. The cabin was very clean and nicely appointed, and the beds and bedding were incredibly comfortable. We will definitely be back.”
