“We were delighted with the layout and the view. The sound of the waves splashing against the wharf was very soothing. Beds were comfy, kitchen was nicely stocked. Good communication with the owner. Overall, a lovely place.”

“From our initial booking months ago to reluctantly checking out today, our stay at this lovely vacation home has been exceptional. Communication with Michael has been so pleasant and attentive. The home has every convenience you might need and then some. Little details have been attended to. This might be the first place we’ve rented where the kitchen knives are actually sharp! Wonderful. Do give Woodroad, a restaurant recommended to us by Michael, a try. It too is perfection. The sunsets……

“Here are a few things that we would like to add: There was not enough shampoo, no saran wrap or foil paper, no tea or coffee, no curtains in patio door. Oven mitts should be replaced as one of the ladies got burned removing something from oven. Every place that we stayed had enough shampoo and all these items mentioned above.We would like to say thank you for letting us sign in at 3 pm instead of 4 pm which helped a lot.”

“The house was quite nice overall. A little disappointing that the woodstove didn't work, especially as the weather was cool and wet. The water is quite soft, but tastes good; and the water heater works fine. We spent a chilly first night as the baseboard heaters were set to 10C (50F), and the control buttons are really tiny and hard to notice. A heads up from the owner would have been helpful. It was plenty warm once I found the controls. The setting is beautiful, and the stairs down to the lake……

“Amazing place, very spacious pool table very nice touch. You’re not right on the trail, but you have access to the snowmobile trails without trailing. Definitely recommend this place to anyone with a large group that is looking to spend some time on the snowmobile trails in Cape Breton. ”

“My husband, baby, and I, along with another couple and their baby, stayed at this cottage during our trip to Cape Breton. The cottage was more spacious than we expected and fit us well. The kitchen was well equipped and the dining area was great. Our favorite part was the proximity to the beach! Great sand and swimming, and the location made it perfect for running back and forth with kids. This place is a drive away from any amenities, which we knew, but something to take into consideration.”

“This was the PERFECT place to stay for us. Four adults (two couples) so the living room and deck was perfect for us to be able to socialize comfortable in the evening. The kitchen was large and stocked with all the dishes and appliances you would need. It was SUPER clean. The double beds were cozy - we are used to a Queen size, so we just cuddled. All good, and comfortable mattresses. The view is stunning, and the quiet street made a midnight walk by the water a beautiful end to our……
