Log style, upscale, 3 bedroom, 2 full bath cottage on private Cranberry Lake only 25 minutes south of Munising, Pictured Rocks area! For large families rent this along with Moose Lodge on Cranberry Lake, next door, yet private from and almost identical in looks! See our website for more information, www hiawathashideaway com; A/C, Large deck, Romantic, wood burning fireplace, wood interior, warm, comfortable, beautifully decorated, everything you need for a quiet, comfortable stay in the Northwoods, Hiawatha National Forest. A beautiful home in the Hiawatha National Forest for a peaceful stay.

We have beds to sleep 6 guests. You are welcome to have up to 2 more guests. Guest need to provide an air mattress OR you are welcome to use the two couches, although they are not sofa sleepers.

Large fire pit outside.

Snowmobile trailhead is located approx 4 miles from door. Nice riding from cabin door to trail via wide ditch riding along county rd 440.

Valentines/Presidents Day Sled trip

The property is set up great, very clean, hosted our crew of 5 adults very comfortably. We had great snow and Trails. Its a hike to the trails but easy, about 4 miles to the trail. Only issue we had was cooking. we had planned on making a dish for five but the biggest skillet was an 8" telon pan that the coating was destroyed on and another 6" skillet. No biggy but changed so things for meals.

Adventuring Surrounding Area

Cabin was spectacular. Decorations and set up was beautiful. Cozy and peaceful interior. We did not stay on property during the day as we adventured to picture rocks, Laughing Whitefish Falls and Kitch-iti-kipi during the day and was treated to sunsets and the best star gazing possible when arriving back at night.

Wonderful Cabin!

We absolutely loved this cabin!! The cabin is beautiful, super clean and well stocked! I loved how the host, Lisa checked in to see if we needed anything. The location was perfect for our trails and adventures! We would stay again!

Beautiful- secluded comfortable home with an amazing view

We were looking for a private home up North that we could enjoy with our 2 well trained dogs and this home was that and so much more. We enjoyed the lake with our kayaks and fishing off the dock was a blast. We hiked to multiple waterfalls and enjoyed other walks where not another person was around. Munising is a cute town to visit. Would highly recommend this home for a relaxing, recharging, reconnecting vacation.

Remote and Peaceful Retreat

Very nice cabin in a remote location in Upper Peninsula Michigan. Kitchen was well stocked with all kitchen appliances and utensils..first place we’ve rented that had a crock pot! Lisa was very communicative and helpful to ensure a great stay. Pictured Rocks and trails throughout the area are beautiful. Rented a pontoon boat for 1/2 day to view Pictured Rocks which was the highlight of the trip! Be sure to bring bug spray -UP has lots of mosquitoes and other biting insects but worth it all for the benefit of experiencing the beautiful landscape!

Perfect UP Cabin Experience

My wife and I rented this cabin for a week in the late summer and had a phenomenal experience. We frequently rent cabins in remote areas for our getaways and this was absolutely one of the cleanest and coziest cabins we have stayed in! The view of the lake from the back deck is gorgeous, and the amenities left nothing to be desired. We would not hesitate to return or to recommend it to friends and family!

Great Quiet Cabin in the Woods

Our group of 8 loved this cabin and the layout. It was super clean, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment and even the bathrooms were large. Even though the lake isn't a swimming lake, the view is gorgeous and the nightly sunsets were amazing! The firepit was also nice to sit around in the evenings. Make sure you bring your own chairs because the stumps aren't very comfortable. And bug spray.... lots of bug spray! The grill has some issues, with the ignitor and burner tube being rusted and not working properly, but our handy husbands got it to work enough to make dinner on it (after cleaning it) for one night. Also, if you drive a car, be warned, the road is a very sandy, unmaintained seasonal road. We encountered it the first time right after it rained in a big 4x4 truck and we thought it was bad. I'm glad we didn't have a car. Overall it was a great stay in a beautiful, peaceful and quiet location and we had an amazing time!

Forest Oasis

When looking for a cabin, my husband and I were looking for private and secluded. The cranberry lodge is exactly that. Located off a sandy path/road and right next to the lake, you can’t get any better. Lots and different species of pine trees surround this cabin and they make for both a wall for privacy from the semi-near by cabins but also a fun little adventure if you had kids to explore the area. Overall, this cabin is one of my personal favorites and hopefully, yours too😊

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Cabin was very clean and well appointed, beautiful setting. The beds were comfortable and kitchen was well stocked with needed equipment. It is quite remote, very quiet.

Fantastic log cabin with amazing views

Perfect location. For all waterfalls & hiking. Yet remote for relaxation & perfect family fun. We loved the log cabin . Our teenage son had great time in upstairs loft . Was perfect to give separate spaces . But small enough to sit by fireplace at night and rest in the most co.forysble couches . Been bags upstairs log was great for kids. Everything perfect . Great communication with host . I highly reco.mend and definitely plan on returning .

Family vacation in Michigan by Pictured Rocks.

The cabin was very clean, just beautiful inside and beautiful location on a small lake, sunsets out the large windows were so amazing. Snowmobile trip to Munising MI

We recently stayed with a group of friends for a snowmobile trip in Munising. The cabin was beautiful! We had such a great time. It’s a beautiful area. Owner was great to talk with! Definitely recommend and hope to visit again.

Peaceful and serene truly a wonderful getaway at Cranberry Lodge.

The cabin is beautiful, clean and very comfortable. We had a great time hiking around the area with our dog. And having a cup of coffee on the deck with the peaceful honking of geese in the distance was idyllic. Lisa was great with communication which we appreciated since this was our first time we booked on Vrbo! Would definitely stay here again.

Peaceful get away.

The cabin is a adorable, clean and appointed and the managers were good communicators. Cranberry lake is more like Cranberry pond but still has cool plant life (lily pads, pitcher plants & other carnivorous plants ). We saw a frog, turkey & babies and a bald eagles nest on the pond. It’s about 30 Min from Munising. Maybe a little longer to trails at pictured rocks but still doable. Pictured rocks kayak tour is amazing and the trail to chapel rocks is a must! If you like to get away from it all - this is your place.

Lovely Get Away

We visited the Cranberry Lake cabin in late June and had a lovely stay. The cabin was very clean, well appointed and very comfortable. Lisa was responsive to any questions we had. I particularly enjoyed the pitcher plants in the bog between the cabin & the lake.

Beautiful cabin, adorable rustic decor and the property was amazing. Tucked back in the woods with a great view. Property manager was awesome, made sure we had everything we needed and checked in to make sure we arrived safely. Would love to see this place in the summer months too 👍
