We stayed at the Mövenpick for our anniversary, hoping for a memorable experience, but unfortunately, it fell short in several key areas.
The positive side first: The kids club was excellent — our child loved it, and the staff there were fantastic. The pool area and general facilities were well-maintained and enjoyable.
However, the front desk and reception staff were neither respectful nor helpful. The customer service was poor throughout our stay. Despite mentioning that it was our anniversary, not even a small gesture like a flower or a sweet treat was offered, which was very disappointing for a supposed 5-star hotel.
We had also requested and paid for an upgraded room, but we were given a standard room with a view of the parking lot. This felt unfair and poorly handled.
As for the gym, it was located in the basement, very humid, and uncomfortable to use — far from the standards you’d expect from a luxury hotel.
Overall, while some amenities were nice, the lack of proper service and attention to guests makes this hotel feel more like a 3- or 4-star property at best — definitely not worthy of the 5-star label
