“We had never been to this area and the house was the perfect home base to use to explore the area. There’s a lot of beaches and state parks to enjoy on the island and we also explored the area’s other features including Port Townsend and wineries/cideries. The house was beautifully maintained and comfortable and we loved being there and on the water. ”

“Owners were very communicative, easy to work with, and everything worked as they said. College buddy and I used it as a place to crash in between golf rounds at Dungeness, White Horse, and Port Ludlow. Location was quiet, accommodations were comfortable, and it had everything we wanted/needed. The beach view/access was great and we even caught some red crab off the rocks down the beach by the campsite with a crab snare (didn’t keep them though). “Whidbey House was a lovely property. A real home from home. We really enjoyed our stay, especially the visits from the deer and rabbits. Rick was very responsive with a couple of queries that we had. Freeland was a great base for exploring Whidbey Island, explore off the beaten track a little and you will find some real gems, we can recommend Island Art Glass, for some beautiful glass work. If we were staying in the area again, we would love to return to Whidbey House.”

“The property was very nice. There is a wood stove which was very nice and the beds were great. The downstairs bath tub did not work. No flexibility with check in or check out times at all. I felt the background check was violating my privacy and not sure i trust them with a picture they can use to open my apps ”
