“Had a one night stay following a trip to Hobbiton movie set. Stayed in chalet Frodo which is only a 10-15 min drive from Hobbiton.The chalet is very clean and well appointed. While quite compact it had everything the two of us required for an overnight stay. We had dinner at Osteria restaurant in the main centre which is only a 3 min drive away. Thoroughly recommend Osteria for quality of food, portion size , atmosphere and price”

“Di's place was everything we needed: great location, comfortable place, wonderful host. We stayed here between a trip from Waitomo one day and Hobbiton the next. “The bed sheets has many insects. It seems that there has no change the bed sheets. There has no pillow provided. 1st night - we double checked and made sure the door locked before we go bed to sleep. In the morning, we saw the door was opened. The door had scratch marks， I guess somebody use the tools to open the door. Be careful your bags and money if you stay in there. We really cannot sleep in the 2nd night. The washroom is clean. The location is not different to find. I won’t……

“We stayed here for two nights to be central to a couple day trips and wish we could stay longer. The property was well taken care of and comfortable. Very spacious. Slept really well. The hosts were considerate, with fresh cut flowers and sweets for the kids. There's some Alpaca, sheep, chickens, and cows on site which is exciting for the kids. Will definitely try to stay here next time I'm near Hamilton. ”

“Excellent set up for that escape that has everything in the private confines of a country farm. Kane was our Host and he is the nicest guy. Shared stories of the area, gave us a scenic tour. Our Border Collie loved swims in the lake and the rolling green landscape was a very chill vibe. The bbq and kitchen in the bus are well equip for camp style cooking and the bed was so comfy! I'd love to return with friends. If you need anything from town, it's a short drive, otherwise leave it all behind……
