“We had a great time staying at The Heron House. The location is close to great restaurants within walking distance. We were close to Woodland Glasshaus at Bavaria Downs, where our niece was getting married. It was a great place to gather our family with our adult children. Thank you to the hosts for their hospitality! ”

“Overall a great stay, the check in and out process could be more clear and probably more convenient for owners with guidelines written down on site vs having to contact them. We had the smoke alarm go off and that was a bit chaotic, and we never were able to connect to WiFi but honestly that was okay - better to be present! Loved the rooms and styling!”

“Great location, great spot, fantastic family home. We stayed here with our adult children, amazingly decorated, kitchen had fantastic cooking utensils, pots, and pans. Small touches like the charging station, water and coffee to get you started till to run to the store . Great water pressure in shower , nice large dinning table for family board games .. close to the city and the cute excelsior neighbor. The beds are very firm , so if that’s not you, know that going in .. spotless clean , and……

“Nice place. It is upstairs, which is posted in the listing (we just overlooked it). It's an older place and a bit outdated, but it was clean. The bed was comfortable. The communication and service with the owners was top notch; she ensured we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Overall, it was nice and comfortable, and we would stay here again.”

“Home was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Neighborhood was very quiet, including the wild turkys and deer that came to visit us daily. Easy access to highways. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay in the Minnesota area.”

“Great location. Great view. Clean. Easy check-in. Friendly host. Would stay here again. The only negative comment- internet signal is very weak.”

“The photos of the house don’t do it justice. What a beautiful home. We had 11 guests from ages 21 to 88. The location is amazing, who doesn’t want to wake up to look a beautiful lake. The house is well stocked with pots, pans and dishes. The “toys” to entertain the family was wonderful. Other than shopping we had everything we needed. Couldn’t be happier with the choice for our family. Thank you for letting our family enjoy your place. ”

“This is a beautiful, peaceful setting with views of the lake. Gorgeously remodeled home with a large open living area and a kitchen with a huge island. Myself and 5 girlfriends stayed here and we all like to cook and appreciated the well stocked cabinets. Three of the bedrooms are located upstairs so you do need to be able to carry suitcases up and down stairs.”
