“My husband and I took our 4 kids to Wisconsin for a weekend getaway. The weather wasn’t ideal but the cabin was great. It was big and spacious and the kids loved playing foosball and pool. The water frontage was great; however, it was too chilly to enjoy it. The place was clean and spacious and we all really enjoyed it. The area was quiet too. The place looks like it would be perfect in the summer. ”

“Perfect size for the 3 of us and our Shih Tzu. We were at Brule ski camp over Thanksgiving 2024. Plenty of space for us. Great location to restaurants, shopping and ski hill. Would stay here again!”

“This property is all you need for a relaxing weekend away. We are staying even longer in the Fall as the view from the window is a picturesque lake. I can't imagine how beautiful that will be with fall foliage. And my husband is looking forward to fishing the lake! ”

“I found booking this rental easy and reasonably priced. I was worried that the pictures were too perfect and pristine. Upon arrival, myself, two daughters and military (on leave) son all agreed. It is a 'WOW' property. Nestled in a forest of pines and down a dead end road with only two other properties it had solitude to calm the stress out of anyone. The nights were 100% quiet. The nights were 100% dark and the interior was so clean and inviting. We vote the best rental of dozens in the……

Very well appointed, super clean and great views of the beautiful lake! We loved fishing every day and had great luck with bass, perch, walleye, crappie and more! “Our stay was fairly short but we still had a good time. There are some hiking trails within 15 to 20 minutes away. The property is right on the lake (although too cold this time of year for it) and there was a hot tub which we did use.The house has the majority of what was needed and it was clean overall. Good hangout spots for movies and games and a nice outdoor patio. The grill had gas for grilling burgers and the fire pit was great for some outdoor time around a fire.Host was quick to reply……

“We stayed at Hillis House for our spring break. Great place to spend time outside and a cozy home to enjoy sitting by the fire. Loved it and would definitely stay there again!”

“Exactly how it looks online but even better!! It was just what we needed, cabin in the woods with no one around!! The master bedroom was huge and very homey. The hosts were top notch and always had answers for us. We will definitely be back again!!”
