Ashland Comfort Inn and Suites is conveniently located on Southbound I-5. There's a ton of parking spaces and it's next to a gas station and across the street from another gas station as well as a restaurant. We were pleased that it had washers and dryers ($2 each), a full complimentary breakfast, coffee machine in our kitchen, two TVs, and an outdoor smoking area. We were displeased that our king suite didn't have the regular sized fridge and freezer combo that it was supposed to have and instead we had a tiny bar fridge without a freezer section. The dishwasher had a sign on it saying it was out of order but could still be used as a dish rack. The shower drain was terribly clogged causing ankle deep water almost instantly. After speaking with the receptionist and convincing them to hand over a drain cleaning stick, I unclogged it myself (my former job of 20 years was in maintenance). Also, they appeared to be in the process of slowly upgrading the furniture in the suites as there were new couches (still plastic wrapped) strewn throughout the hallways and within the reception area. Our key cards were only good for one night and we originally planned to stay for three. We left a day early because our cooler (free ice down the hall) was unable to keep our ice cream from melting. We most likely will never stay here again.
