“El entorno de la casa tiene muchísimo encanto y eso compensa la dificultad para llegar. Hay que tener cuidado si se intenta acceder de noche con las indicaciones del GPS. Algunos colchones son mejorables y se sale a veces el agua de la ducha pero en general, muy bien todo.”

“Nous avons aimé, la maison est bien situé et intime en même temps. Très belle propriété de campagne, belle vue du château. Nous avons été bien reçu par Louisa et Joao. Ils nous on guidé pour les activités local. Merci beaucoup pour ce beau séjour.”

“We spent seven days here in April, 2023. This is a lovely village with everything you might need for a great time. Restaurants were exceptionally good. The people were very nice and outgoing. Many spoke English. Lots of good walking in the area. We'd go back to this area in a heartbeat. If you go don't miss nearby Marvao castle and village. As for the house, there are 38 steep steps from the lower level up to the terrace. The middle flight is steepest and has no handrail. The house is 3 levels……

“If you want peace and quiet at a good price then this will work for you. Easy access to good hikes. 15 minute drive to a couple of bigger towns and restaurants. Host gave good information about the area. Dogs friendly ”

“Property was very clean and very well equipped. Swimming pool was good size and very welcome after a hot day's walking or sightseeing. Location was perfect for exploring local area on foot or by car. Susana was the perfect hostess”

“Passámos 4 noites na casa da Oliveira e apesar do frio que se fez sentir a climatização da casa é muito boa e estivemos sempre confortáveis. Os miúdos adoraram brincar no exterior e interagir com os animais da quinta. Como aspetos menos positivos a limpeza (alguns locais da cozinha menos acessíveis como as prateleiras de cima dos armários e alguns utensílios como o bule e a torradeira não estavam limpos e prontos a utilizar). A cozinha tem o essencial mas demos por falta de uma tesoura para……

“This is an old building which has been nicely upgraded. It was roomy and comfortable. I was an excellent place to stay in order to visit historic sites. Dropped off bread and tarts were a nice unexpected treat.”

“Tapada da Beirã was a charming villa, it had everything we could have wished for, the hosts were lovely and were on hand with advice and knowledge of the area. Plenty of outdoor spaces to relax or eat al fresco and a super swimming pool. You need a car to get around, the nearest shop is in Santo António das Areias. About 20 steps from the Villa is a lovely restaurant and the food was amazing as were the staff.”
