“Room was comfortable and spacious. Dinner was multiple courses but main entree from a buffet. And, thus, dinner was outrageously priced. ”

“The hotel is stunningly beautiful, clean and accommodating. The main issue was food and beverage service. The staff had no clue on how to wait on tables, present menus, serve beverage or food. We waited 45 minutes for 4 drinks only to be brought one, told two weren’t available and had to wait again for the last. It was disappointing at best. Food was good but they need training in their restaurants! ”

“Hotel staff service was good and cooperative. But our rooms did not have good Air Conditioning. AC in one of the two bedrooms and in living room were not working well at all and rooms were quite warm and humid for comfort.”

“The Anchorage was just what we needed -- location on the main street with parking for our rental car; clean room with AC, mini frig, electric teakettle/coffee & tea supplies; bathroom with shower, sink, toilet, and open closet/shelves; storm window with a view of the ocean; friendly staff; and a full restaurant right next door! The restaurant is located at Ocean's Edge and served us breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, take-away, and even has a bar. There is also a Dive Shop at Ocean's Edge for……

“I like this small hotel but it is very noisy. We stayed Thursday and Friday nights and both nights the neighboring heavy beat music went all night and into the early morning hours. I put my Bose sound canceling earbuds in which dampened the noise but could still hear the noise.”

“Burkey's place is beautiful, well stocked and relaxing! We went with two young kids, and we enjoyed the ability to wash our clothes and make dinner, while still being in a unique Jungle setting. Would definitely recommend, especially to a couple or two couples traveling together. ”
