“Down the steep driveway with my trailer was a feat, but what welcomed us was a country property with fantastic views of the lake. The indoor and outdoor fireplaces set the atmosphere, and kept the children working and warm! The kitchen and lounge areas were great for our home cooked meals, plus the oil heaters to keep us warm of a night in the middle of winter. Having the pontoon was a convenience for our short term fishing boat hire, which we thank you for, though the lake was only at 52% we……

The Shearer’s quarters was a unique awesome experience, just as described by the host on the website, we were very comfortable well lit up at night, loved the outdoor toilets adds to the authentic experience we were after. Luxuries in abundance at this property, peace, tranquility, calmness and connections to nature but if one is looking for materialistic luxuries leave this little piece of heaven off your list……
