The staff at the Gabriel was super friendly and helpful.
A few tips: We took advantage of the beach chairs our first day - make note that an umbrella costs $20. The next day we used the shuttle to the Bayside Marketplace. It’s actually a Lyft they pay for, and it’s not round trip so you have to make arrangements to get back. The Wynwood Walls admission is paid back as a credit to your room, so you do have to pay for those upfront.
I originally booked a king deluxe but we arrived early and a double queen was available so I took it. The room was tiny and with the connecting door it looked like it was probably used as a bedroom for a suite. For us it was perfect but it would definitely not work for more than 2 people. The room needed a little TLC overall but it was clean, the ac worked well, and the view was great.
On our final day we didn’t depart until late evening, the hotel let use the amenities then had a hospitality room with a shower for clean up. We spent our last hour comfortably seated in the mezzanine which had books, games, charging ports, and a view of the beach.
Overall it was a great stay.
