Amazing energy in this seaside cottage featuring a bright open floor plan - expansive shaded bayside deck with outdoor shower. Seahorse Cottage, or "The Horse" to us, includes gleaming hardwood floors, bright windows and a modern kitchen for your vacation get a way. Incredible sunrises and sunsets overlooking the Delaware Bay and Primehook National Wildlife Refuge. Paddle board the calm waters, Kayak or canoe the shore line or bike through protected wetlands for the real show.

The bay beaches are for those looking for private quiet coastlines and a connection with nature. You'll find our cottage, clean, well kept and well appointed.

15 minutes to grocery stores and shopping in downtown Milton, 30 minutes to shopping, entertainment and beaches in Lewes and Rehoboth Beach.

We prefer no surprises when we travel and do our best to provide a good experience for our guests..

Always A Great Stay Here
We’ve been coming here for the last few years and always enjoy our stay here. Has everything we need to cook at home, a nice fenced in yard for our dog and our daughter who hates getting showers LOVES to get one in the outdoor shower every night, without us even having to tell her to! We will be back again, as always!

Great place for a family escape
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Horse. Perfect size for our family of four, steps to the beach, and 30-40 minutes from the Rehoboth boardwalk. Over the two weeks we were there, we enjoyed a good balance of the peaceful, private beach and the action packed beach in Rehoboth. We had a hard time leaving and will definitely consider returning.

Great beach house . Terrific location and has all you need . Great fenced in yard for the dogs . We had a great time . The only complaint some of my family had is the beds were not comfortable.

Perfect Summer Beach Get-a-way
The house is upgraded and clean. The fenced in area was great for having brought our dog with us. Beds were comfortable, kitchen functional, and plenty of room to relax in the living room or on the rear deck. The gas outdoor grill was full of fuel and after a little cleaning around the igniter, the grill fired up with no issues. The best part is that you are steps from the private beach. The water was warm and the waves were calm —great for small children.

The Perfect Fourth of July
I had two issues with cleanliness. The first was trash can/recycling can were completely full when we arrived on Saterday so it had been neglected to take out the trash the Friday before we arrived. Secondly, a pet fee is applied to the stay, and although we picked up after our dog, we also had to pick up after previous dogs who stayed. Other than these two cleanliness issues, we had an amazing Fourth of July!!! From the neighborhood parade that started the holiday to the beach fireworks at night! The neighbors were so friendly, except for the one who insisted we pull up the over filled trash cans so they didn’t ruin her pictures of the parade. Although not our fault, this was still embarressing.

Great place to stay!
We had a fantastic time here! Wonderful, charming & clean beach home. Right on the beach. We saw the sun come up over the Bay and beautiful sunsets over the wildlife sanctuary. We loved the restaurants, boardwalk, shops etc. We took walks up and down the beach to hunt pretty stones, shells & check out the horseshoe crabs. I grew up coming down to this area and love sharing and creating new memories with my grandchildren. We all loved this beach house and the fact that we can bring the dogs along means everything. I was able to schedule the exact days that I wanted. Very easy scheduling and transactions thru Verbo. Terry was a great, accommodating host!

Great place for relaxing vacation!
We have always loved our time spent here - it’s such a great place where we can bring our black lab Bella with us! In the summer when we stay, we love the extra outdoor shower and have used it daily! The extra 1/2 bathroom in the one bedroom is great as well. We already booked for Sept again!

Great Rental
House was perfect for 2 couples, a child and our dog. Nice gated area and back porch area. We loved that the floors were all hardwood, made cleaning up sand a breeze! Our daughter took a shower in the outdoor shower every day, she loved it! Would definitely come back and stay here again.

Quiet beautiful location
My husband and I booked this home as a last minute get away after learning our senior dog has cancer and wouldn’t be with us much longer. He always loved the water and sand so we wanted to take him away before he declined. The host was super quick to respond when I was having trouble with Vrbo booking and made everything super simple. The house was beautiful and clean and everything on one level was the best. It also had a fenced in area so we didn’t have to worry about leashing for potty breaks each time. The home is just steps from super private primehook beach. The waves were very gentle and our dogs loved playing in the water. We walked on the beach several times a day and barely saw anyone else at all. The home had all the kitchen necessities needed during our stay. We would love to come back again.

Lovely house
We had a relaxing week at 9195 Shore Road. The Delaware bay beach is steps from the door. We spent a couple of days at Prime Hook Wildlife Refuge which is amazing. A couple of suggestions: warmer blankets are needed for a stay this time of year. We’d also suggest that extra toilet paper, paper towel, and lightbulbs be available.

we would stay here again
the place is nice and allows dogs for a fee which is reasonable. the location is great; it's nice and quite just us and the beach and some neighbors who also keep to themselves. inside is mostly clean. the flies are bad and there is a warning note in the house; after a day, we became really sharp swatters. we also got bit pretty bad, probably because of the hiking we did on trails. we enjoyed the stay; our dog stone really loved it. we also loved just visiting other beaches during the day, and the surrounding state parks. we were looking for a low-key quite time at the beach and we found it here.
