“My stay was perfect. Having spent my summers on the Bras d’Or lake as a child I knew what I was getting with regards to lake (it is clear, warmer than the ocean, salt water —perfect to me!), but this was my first stay at Lakeside Luxury. I booked the cottage which was a great option for privacy, the screened porch was perfect for the mornings and evenings to get away from bugs. The bed was very comfortable and so was the sofa and there were some really great finishes in the cottage to give it……

“This off grid oasis was truly amazing! I command the host for their incredible thoughtfulness in prepping everything to make this outdoor retreat as equipped as possible. All the little touches (gas powered shower, fully equipped bar cabana, battery packs in each bunk for charging devices, fans, plenty of lights, super comfy blankets, kayaks, paddle boards, and so much more!) on the property were truly amazing; a must see for anyone looking for a glambing experience in cape breton. The cabins……

“We had a great stay at this cabin! It was exactly as pictured—clean, cozy, and well-kept. Everything met our expectations, and we had no issues during our stay. A peaceful spot and a great place to unwind. Would definitely recommend!”

“Nous avons apprécié nous retrouver en nature dans ce lieu si calme avec une vue magnifique et de beaux couchers de soleil. Il y a tout le nécessaire pour cuisiner et même quelques aliments pour dépanner le premier soir si on a oublié d'arrêter à l'épicerie. Il faut bien sûr un véhicule à quatre roues motrices pour monter la côte et il peut arriver que le wifi ne soit pas accessible mais ça ne dure pas longtemps.”

“Great little unit that was spacious and easy to find. Close to Baddeck with easy access to the rest of the island. Little playground for the kids was a nice touch, especially when the parents were trying to pack up. We did notice that the fridge didn't seem to be cleaned from the last guest. Would definitely stay again. Thanks!!”

“Quick trip for our anniversary. What a great property,clean and EVERYTHING thought out in great detail.Great location and super quiet.Thanks . The only negative thing was the hot tub cover (water logged ) for a small cover its not very easy to put back on the tub.”

“Secluded with water access. Great for kayaking and canoeing and ability to have a camp fire. Loads of wildlife, cranes, woodpeckers, rabbits, grouse and eagles. The perfect camping experience with the luxury of a comfortable bed and a functional kitchen. ”
