Our stay was pretty good, we were on average 12 minutes away from most of the popular places that we wanted to go to, and the owner was on point and available whenever he was needed, but we didn't need him

My daughter and I were supposed to stay at this VRBO for 2 nights. The listing said it was clean, linens were provided and free wine, parking and Wi-Fi. We arrived and there was free parking and communication with the owner was good when checking in. However, once we got in the place smelled of cigarettes (said no smoking allowed on the listing) there wasn’t any towels so we couldn’t shower, we had to wet our hair and use paper towels. Late at night during the first night (the only night we actually stayed) people were yelling for the police from right outside our window. The people below us were fighting and screaming all night and started again at 7:30am. We almost called the police. We felt VERY unsafe. We didn’t contact the owner the first night staying at the VRBO because we didn’t want anything to do with the fighting happening below us. Crazy vulgar things were being screamed. We packed up at 8am and choose to drive home (6 hours) after the event we were in town to see, stopping to sleep at a rest stop. We have never experienced anything this before while traveling. I do NOT like to leave bad reviews. I’m a strong believer in everyone is doing the best they can. But after we got home I let the owner know what happened and he said we should have told him while they were having a domestic dispute so he could have warned them to stop and that god knows his heart. So that’s where we left it. There is no circumstance in which I would EVER recommend this VRBO.
