We have stayed at this property in the past and loved it - we previously had a 1 bedroom suite which was perfect for our family of 4 so we booked the same room for our recent trip. When we got to the room it was a regular room and not what we booked. I spoke with the man at the front desk and he said that the room we booked was messed up from the previous guests. I explained that I didn't like that he just downgraded us without saying anything and that's not what we paid for and asked for 2 rooms, which he finally agreed to. The property is undergoing renovations so I tried to keep that in mind when I rated the property because a lot of the mess isn't their fault. The pool was closed and it would've been nice if that was in the description of the property. Breakfast was good and most of the staff were nice. Our room was in terrible shape - carpet was coming up, bathtub leaked the whole time we were there, bathroom tiles were coming off the floor, etc., but I could tell our room was about to be re-done. Overall, I'd return because of location and what the property offers and I assume next time the hotel will be in much better shape! My only real complaint is when we were knowingly downgraded in rooms and we had to lug all of our stuff upstairs and then back down again to sort it out. Wish they would've mentioned it when we checked in instead of assuming we wouldn't notice.
