The cabin is positioned high above the Cethana Dam, with magnificent mountain views. Cradle Mountain visitor centre is approx. 20 minutes from the cabin.
The cabin is an ideal spot to completely disconnect & decompress from our busy lives. Built in 2025, Wildlings Nest is a true oasis to stop & enjoy the quiet & stillness.
The cabin features two bedrooms, an open plan kitchen, dining & living, which have floor to ceiling windows, that capture to full vista of the location.
There's an outdoor egg shape bath to immerse yourself in & relax. Maybe have a cheeky glass of your favourite Tasmanian tipple, that you've prepared in the wet bar, whilst enjoying the serene outdoor ambience. The bathroom features a double shower with dual rain fall shower heads & luxury Tasmanian Millie Organics body wash, shampoo & conditioner.
We look forward to welcoming you to Wildlings Nest Cradle Mountain.
Things to Note;
** Guests have access to the cabin only & not the sheds or garage.
** Guests also need to be aware that the cain is located at the end of a 5km dirt road. This road is corrugated & will not suit all vehicles to travel on. You're best to travel the road in an SUV or 4WD vehicle.
** As the cabin is fully off grid, you may have to start the generator or turn on reserve water/gas supplies.
** During the cooler months, the cabin can get snowed in.
** You will need to bring your grocery supplies with you, as there are no shops nearby. The closest town is Sheffield which is approx. 35km away from the cabin. Additionally there are corner stores / petrol bowsers located at Cradle Mountain and Wilmot.
** Five Mile Rise Road, runs off of Cradle Mountain Road. Look for the road signs of Wildlings Nest. Do NOT travel via Dolcoath Road (Lemonthyme Lodge entrance) as this road is inaccessible and has locked gates.
