“We loved our stay at Horta Redonda. It is a charming rural house about 10 minutes outside Estremoz surrounded by vineyards, sheep and other agriculture. Very peaceful and quiet. A beautiful setting.The house is very comfortable with an artful interior design. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. The kitchen is well appointed. The outdoor courtyard and sun deck are very comfortable with beautiful views.Teresa, our host, was very responsive and friendly. She was wonderful with suggestions……

“This was a unique experience for us -- staying on a cork farm. The setting was stunning - the views amazing and you will truly get an authentic Alentejo experience. Note that is it not close to Evora, so keep that in mind. That said, I don't know that we've ever met a kinder and more welcoming host. Not only did his welcome us to the property, but he gave us a tour of his cork farm and explained the harvesting process -- it was such a personal touch and so fascinating. We just loved it. The……

Consejos a mejorar: renovar lavavajillas; renovar mosquiteras; mejorar mobiliario de la cocina; añadir lavadora; limpieza del interior de la casa (es una casa de campo, pero se pueden quitar telarañas de las ventanas y rincones).”

“Passámos 4 noites na casa da Oliveira e apesar do frio que se fez sentir a climatização da casa é muito boa e estivemos sempre confortáveis. Os miúdos adoraram brincar no exterior e interagir com os animais da quinta. Como aspetos menos positivos a limpeza (alguns locais da cozinha menos acessíveis como as prateleiras de cima dos armários e alguns utensílios como o bule e a torradeira não estavam limpos e prontos a utilizar). A cozinha tem o essencial mas demos por falta de uma tesoura para……

“We stayed just 2 nights but would happily stay much longer. Paul was an excellent host and gave us a tour of his cork forest and explained the process of harvesting cork. He also gave great recommendations for walks nearby. The pool is gorgeous and lovely to be woken by sheep grazing amongst the olive trees. Accommodations are traditional farmhouse - steeped in history. Kitchen had everything we needed. We will be back. ”
