“I booked this home for my husbands 30th surprise. The house is ideal for gatherings as there is no one for miles to disturb. This property can be seen from the road and looks amazing. Unfortunately some of the party struggled to sleep due to the bedding having a strong smell. Other than the bedding the house is clean. I booked this home as it had a hot tub which didnt work which we we only found out on arrival and also a bbq which we then found out when we were there you needed coal which we……

“We had a wonderful week at Kenmure Kennels walking the trails, gathering around the table and enjoying the cosy fire. The house is well equipped for a group and feels like a loving home, not a characterless rental. ”

“Cottage was clean cosy and comfortable. It is about 15 mins drive to castle douglas. Owners live next door so easy to contact with minor issues. We were familiar with local area as visited frequently before.”

“We brought our three married children,their partners and our five grandchildren to Albion House to spend Christmas together. Albion House was perfect for us. Warm,very well equipped, comfortable beds,travel cot and trouble taken to decorate a Christmas tree and decorate the rooms. Extra praise for the way a forgotten wallet was promptly detached. We can recommend Albion House without reservation.”

“Lovely location and awesome views. Property was very comfortable and cosy. We're allergic to feathers so Sue made sure there were no issues. She took great care to think of our wellbeing. We are an older couple so comfort and ease of getting around the flat are important to us. The flat was well equipped and tastefully decorated. Thanks fir a lovely stay.”

“This is a fantastic cottage in an adorable village. It has rolling hills, a burn and lots of sheep! The cottage itself was quite large and was fit for our family of 6, including adult children and their spouses. It was clean, decorated well and rather comfortable. There are amenities within walking distance such as a pub, museum, etc. We wished we had stayed longer and we'll definitely return!”

With a large sitting room, spacious kitchen/diner, a separate dining room, and a second smaller sitting room with piano, there are plenty of options for getting together with your house guests. We were lucky with the weather, and ate breakfast on the patio and a barbecue in the garden. A memorable stay.”

“We had a wonderful week with our children and dog in this beautiful farmhouse. The location is incredible - 2 miles up a disused railway track - a brilliant spot to do nothing but walk, swim and watch the house martins swoop for the midges and build up their mud cup nests below the eaves.”
