“The picture looks very good, but what you don’t know- until you pay and actually get there- is that it is a very oddly-shaped 2nd back house. There is tight parking for two cars in the garage that you share with the residents of the 1st back house. Also, you reach the garage through an alley in the back. The neighborhood is ok, but the parking on the street is atrocious!! I felt very much duped.Monrovia is a beautiful city, but there are better places to stay.”

“This property was exactly as described - a small room + bathroom in a larger house that has been subdivided to have multiple sublets. The room was clean and had all I needed for a short stay. Sherry was responsive to my requests and communicative about arrival/departure procedure. Thanks for a great stay!”

“We stayed at this VRBO during the January 2025 California Fires which were just on the borderline of the area. The communication with the owners was spectacular. We had a family emergency which brought us to California and with the fires this compounded our stress. The owners, however, were so amazing at sharing information and putting us to ease. The Bungalow is in a terrific location, supplied with the basics, convenient location, clean, safe and very comfortable! Our stay was wonderful……

“We had a group of ten and the two homes on the property accommodated us quite well. Everyone had their space and we comfortable with the bed and bathroom accommodations. Do note that the pool is ingested so outside of the summer months it will be too cold to use. We had not planned on using the pool but had not noticed until after the booking that it was unheated. We enjoyed our stay. ”

“Pro- The spot had a great location that was a short walk to some nice pubs and places to eat. Con- Checking in was annoying. Owner was hard to reach and not responsive. Took 45 minutes of waiting before a reply. The key was hidden and she was super paranoid about someone else heading over the phone where that was. There was a sharp chemical odor that really bothered me. Had to have the windows open not to smell it. Made my nose run and I was coughing. I won't stay here again.”
