“We arrived at the lodging only to find that the beds had not been made. Actually, all of the bed linen was heaped on top of one of one of the beds. There was a thick coating of dust over every surface. I contacted the rental provider (Vacasa) and they were very responsive to finding alternative lodging for our group. The problem was that the alternative lodging lacked a third bathroom, no dish washer, no washer/dryer and no garage. The rental price of this "alternative" is about 320 less……

“Our family comes to South Fork every Christmas. We recently stayed six days with 11 family members. There was more than enough room for all of us. The house is beautiful with magnificent views. “The townhome was perfect for our two families and all the kids! Great location in town, just minutes from restaurants and the grocery store. “The Rustic Rook Resort is a fabulous new addition to the Yurt/Bin wave of alternative to hotel stays. It is just a few miles from the Great Sand Dunes National Park that is simply awe inspiring and has fabulous sledding on the Dunes for the entire family. Excellent dining is about 20 minutes away in downtown Alamosa. The stars at night are incredible. We stayed in a Bin, which was less rustic than the name would imply.
