“Just returned from a wonderful stay at Chez Mathilde near Verdun. Annie, our host, was absolutely lovely — so welcoming and friendly, and she even treated us to delicious homemade goodies. The house itself was amazing, full of character with beautiful traditional features and immaculate furnishings throughout. It really felt like a home away from home. The area is fantastic too, with so much history to explore, especially the WWI sites nearby. We’d highly recommend Chez Mathilde to anyone……

“Het is een prachtige woning op het Franse platteland. Bij warm weer is het binnen lekker koel. Het staat in een heel klein gehuchtje, waar verder geen voorzieningen zijn. Dat is het enige nadeel, wel heerlijk rustig. Ook voor stadjes en musea en dergelijke moet je wel een eindje rijden. De eigenaresse is heel aardig en spreekt naast Frans ook goed Engels.”

“We hebben een fantastische week gehad met onze kinderen en kleinkind. We kregen bericht dat we iets in het huis konden en werden gastvrij ontvangen. Het is een prachtig en groot huis met veel ruimte binnen en een grote en volledig omheinde tuin met veel privacy in een rustige omgeving. Een fantastisch vrij uitzicht over de velden met verwarmd zwembad. Luchtbedjes en waterspeelgoed aanwezig. Ook pingpongtafel. Ligbedjes bij het zwembad Zeer ruime slaapkamers en 2 ruime badkamers.
