“Fabrizio's place is just gorgeous. When we arrived, he gave us a detailed tour of the gardens and house, both of which are beautiful and have all conveniences. We enjoyed walking to the small and lovely town of Farnatella, and driving a few minutes to the gorgeous Lucignano. While he and his wife do live in the downstairs of the house, they have a separate entrance and were respectful of our privacy while we were there. I hope to return for a longer stay!”

“This property is several kilometers up a gravel road from Murlo, Italy. The road is okay but we got a little concerned after it had been raining for a while. The property is remote and near several hiking paths. It is great for people who want to get out and hike around the hills of Italy. The gardens are really nice. We would have spent more time outside if the weather had cooperated more. We went in the fall so it was getting a little cooler up in the hills. There was a nice fireplace that……

“Great little bed and breakfast feel, with a lovely view from the terrace. The breakfast voucher is for a great little cafe right nearby and we really enjoyed that added touch. We had the 'green' room and didn't really need the 2nd space with the 2 smaller beds, but it was nice to have so much space, including the kitchen and sitting areas. Very clear instructions on how to find them, especially parking! The video was very helpful ”

“Stayed for 2 days in May. Lovely place with friendly staff. Mickelo was very welcoming and helpful. Enjoyed having breakfast with guests. The hotel restaurant is very good and just below the hotel. Rooms are huge and unique with beautiful art work on the walls and gorgeous ceilings. Right in the heart of town. You fall asleep to the sounds of bells. “The room is big and the city is lovely. but it's really really troublesome to park the car due to the hotel is located in ZTL zone. You have to park your car somewhere outside of the old town, and walk to the hotel to figure out how to park, then get a green card from the reception to display it on your windshield to avoid being fined by the police when drive in to unload the luggage, then drive out of the old town to find a parking space, then walk back to the hotel (6-8 mins walk). “This is the first night we stayed in Toscana. The hotel is a real castle located on the top of the hill. The beautiful landscape of agricultural view seen from the hotel was panoramic and breathtaking. The family suite was cozy, containing one living room and two bedrooms. The thermal swimming pool was fantastic and spa center was amazing. Breakfast was flourish. The dinner was also good but overpriced actually. As a whole, I highly recommend staying in Catello di Velona as you visit Toscana.”
