Stayed here for a long weekend with a friend. Front desk was very polite and accommodating. The hotel was always clean, nothing left in the hallways, front area was immaculate. Parking was easy right in front. Walking to the botanical gardens was easy. The actual location of our room was away from the events happening in the hotel so our room was quiet throughout our stay. We had a nice view of the city. The little store by the front desk does take both Canadian and US dollars which was appreciated. The pool was warm, which I loved!! They also have a little sauna, but no hot tub.
However, on the first night, I called to get two extra pillows and extra towels, which never came. I went to the front desk to inquire and I was able to get towels, but was told they would bring pillows up-they never came. I gave up on that. Next night at 2:30 am, the battery on the smoke detector started beeping. Called the front desk and they sent someone up right away, but it was still annoying to be woken. Why aren't the smoke detectors wired in?? Beds were very hard. Restaurant was ok. Had linguini with clams and they were not fresh, but the charcuterie plate was delicious!!
