We simply love Montreal. The SENS did not disappoint. Comfortable with plenty of room. Their are numerous restaurants within a two to four block area. I would stay there again given the opportunity.

Junior suite was a good size. Comfy bed. Staff were very pleasant and this was an excellent location for getting around either by foot or train. The hotel was a bit dated, gym is very basic and the bar was only open limited hours

Location was good, close to downtown area. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Only thing I didn't like was the breakfast, ceral was stale, same with the muffins and not alot of options considering the price point. Beyond that everything else was good.

The valet parking was nice but $33 a day is steep. Once Parked access is by the valet only so small bills necessary for tipping. Rooms were nice but shower floor very slippery. King bed but limited seating if you want to watch tv later in evening. Male front staff and valet very accommodating. For folks with limited mobility even Ste Catherine and the Metro 3 blocks away downhill. Take good walking shoes with you. I ordered 2 different room types and our companions got our room with couch and large bathroom. Apparently girls at check-in got us confused. There are no vending machines or ice so you have to order from bar. A nice stay but with limitations.

Room a/c heating didn’t work. Called service desk to let them know. Asked if I can get another room. Was told by front desk no other rooms available? Maintenance man came. Said he can fix it. Didn’t want to wait until it was fixed. Called front desk again . They found another room. I’m not a difficult client. Been to your hotel numerous time. I think working a/c and heating is a basic amenity in a 4 star rated hotel. Second time I called front desk I spoke with a different person. He was very accommodating and understood. He is the one who found a room when the first person I spoke to send they were all booked. Thank you Robert

Enjoyed the property and my room very much. Hours of the restaurant/ bar were disappointing. The bar being closed at 4 pm in a downtown Montreal hotel is disappointing. Bar should be open at least 12 noon onwards. Restaurant was closed for breakfast Sunday AM (9:30) as a staff member did not show up. Not acceptable. Got to have a back up.

Rooms are nice and relatively large, but the common areas are in need of a refresh. Most significantly, the HVAC in the room is very bad. When I checked in, the thermostat had no power. A technician came, but instead of fixing it he showed me how to control from the HVAC unit directly. Unfortunately, the unit turned itself off twice over the period of one evening and was unable to cool the room down to an acceptable temperature for sleeping.

The hotel was dirty. There was loud maintenance and repair work going on the hallway at 7am. The buffet breakfast table was absolutely not fresh nor stalked well. Manager argued with me whej I said I refused to pay for the buffet breakfast which I did not eat.

This property was just ok. The room was a decent size, and the bed was comfy, but housekeeping wasn’t up to par. I found an empty soap box in the bathroom (which made me wonder how well it was cleaned), and a lot of dust in the corners and in the crystal lamp, which was really obvious when it was on. The closet light didn’t turn off properly, and it was finicky to get it to stay off. There was no hot water the first night, and I had to go to their sister property across the street in order to take a shower. It may have been ok, but the weather was awful so I was chilled on the way back, waiting for the light. The manager did nothing to acknowledge that inconvenience during the rest of my stay. A proper apology would’ve been nice. Pros include that it’s a fairly convenient location, with a bus that goes by out front, and two metro stations within walking distance. It’s close to Concordia university, so there are lots of cheap eats around.

The renovations done at this hotel were lacking in several areas (poorly finished floors, cracks in the ceiling in the bathrooms, etc..) left quite a bit to be desired. My request for no housekeeping was ignored, despite the door hanger being on. Seems only the "do not disturb - resting" sign was respected. The continental breakfast does not warrant the 25$ tax. However, the location is A and the staff are all lovely. The Concierges are quick to offer all sorts of recommendations.
