We had a great stay here and can't believe what great value it was. The bed was really comfortable, the shower was good. Faciliites in the room were decent with a microwave and fridge. The place has clearly been refurbished relatively recently, so don't pay attention to any older reviews you might read. The service from manager Clinton and the other staff was great (and Clinton's little dog is very cute). Grab-and-go breakfast is obviously limited, but it's nice to have as an option if you don't want to go elsewhere. The location is on the eastern edge of town, but all the restaurants and bars in town are easily walkable within about 15 minutes. It's very handy for the Black Canyon NP, which just is a short drive away.

Newly renovated rooms, very clean. For the price we paid we could not expect more. 2 small remarks. The waterpressure in the shower was too low. Breakfast could have a little more variety.

The free breakfast consisted of grab and go items. Yogurt, cheese, granola bars, etc. Small but nicely refurbished rooms. Not a great deal for the price.

Positives: this old motel has been completely refurbished; new mattress, bedding., floors, a/c, bathroom, etc. The room is very small. On my stay the Internet wasn't worth sh*t, meaning I had to use hotspot and the Internet could not support the TV. I complained at night about the internet, it was rebooted (I think) but never got better. In the morning I complained to the clerk and he acted like I was crazy until many guests who were in the dining area agreed w me the internet was crap. Same goes for breakfast: coffee good but pop tarts and Walmart candy sucks. There's were no other choices.

We enjoyed our stay at Minecart Lodge. The rooms were extremely clean and the communication between us and the staff was excellent. The rooms are not fancy but are comfortable and well maintained. You won’t find a big breakfast waiting for you but you will find coffee, snack bars, cheese sticks, and water. It’s a very nice place to stay and if we are ever in Montrose again we will definitely make a stay at Minecart Lodge.

I had a great stay at the Minecart Motor Lodge. Delicious dining options right up the street with the amazing Tacos and Beer and the Coffee Trader for a lovely start to your morning. I will stay here again.

It’s an old motor in that’s been redone. So the rooms are small. I was only there to sleep after long flights home from Vietnam. Main reason I stayed there was my favorite quick Mexi fix was access the street. Taco’s Today. Their Berria’s taco’s are off the chart.
