“The Rustic Rook Resort is a fabulous new addition to the Yurt/Bin wave of alternative to hotel stays. It is just a few miles from the Great Sand Dunes National Park that is simply awe inspiring and has fabulous sledding on the Dunes for the entire family. Excellent dining is about 20 minutes away in downtown Alamosa. The stars at night are incredible. We stayed in a Bin, which was less rustic than the name would imply. It was perfect for my husband and I, and our dog. We wouldn't hesitate……

“Bed is not balanced but it is cozy annd warm even in winter with the extra heaters, and that is all part of the experience.”

“Gorgeous location with incredible views from every window. This home is well stocked and has excellent bedding, beds and pillows. Furniture is nice and comfortable. The hot tub, patio and patio furniture is great too. It is immaculately clean, which we appreciated with 2 -1year olds. We’ve never stayed in a cleaner VRBO, truly spotless!! The one and only thing I would change, adding window blinds. None of the windows have blinds, including the bathrooms. I understand the views shouldn’t be……

“The winter water shutdown was difficult to do dishes and make meals… other than that, great stay and very accommodating with great views and outdoor amenities. ”

“The property is at a great location very close to the dunes, about 15 min drive. You can literally see it from your backyard. The property is exactly as listed and its very quiet if you're looking for the peace. The open space around is the best. My pup thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a little hiccuo during the first night but the host addressed it very quicklu.wr love the place and will return when we go back to the dunes.”

“I absolutely love this property. Great Sans Dunes National Park is a quick 10 minute drive up the road, which was the reason for our visit. What an easy drive!It was wonderful communication with Gail, she was so helpful and kind. She also has FRESH flowers in the home which you don't see anymore. The home was decorated beautifully and it was perfect for us. Everything was comfortable. I'd absolutely stay here again on my next visit!”
