“We stayed at the hotel for one night, as we needed a place to stay while visiting Shirakawa. It was much nicer than we expected. We were at the hotel at the end of April, which I think is off-season, so the hotel was quite empty. I assume it is much busier during the touristic seasons, with more opportunities to enjoy the surrounding nature and the activities offered by the resort. We did use the onsen, and it was very nice.
