“Chris is the front office manager of the lodge. Her customer service is excellent. I recommended they mention that not only do they have a nice hot tub; they also offered a sauna. And during the winter they provide a complementary breakfast. The place is very safe, quiet and clean. The room was very spacious. Very good heating system and hot water. Very central location.”

“Very comfortable & well equipped, would’ve stayed longer if we’d known. But it was difficult to find! Google maps just took us to Glentunnel, where we got uncertain directions from the shop.”

“Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house. Fantastic location, really warm, and was nicer than the photos I thought. The short walk to the pubs/shops, the comfortable lounge furniture and the large garage with automatic opener were appreciated. A couple of suggestions for the otherwise really well stocked house would be some kitchen scissors and an HDMI cable for the TV!”

“Great place to stay only 1 hr out of Christchurch.We woke up to the best view of the mountains right out the bedroom window. Rakaia gorge is beautiful with jetboat walk or swim if you want to brave the cold. Nice relaxing stay for 2 days. I would definitely stay again”
